Faith

How can you become a woman of faith? This pursuit can seem like a difficult challenge sometimes. Take comfort. God’s Word has a few things to say about this life-changing desire. How do you become a woman of faith who walks with God daily? Ephesians 2:8 says that faith comes by God’s grace, and by grace we are saved. Faith is a work of God in your heart. And it’s made stronger when you read the Bible.

When you are immersed in God’s Word, you receive a close-up view of the trails, test, and temptations other faced, and how they handled their situation with faith. Roman 10:17 reminds us that “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” When the Bible is taught, listen closely. Then be faithful in sharing the gospel, the faith you so richly enjoy.

Dear Lord, increase my faith. Teach me how to “walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7).  Give me strength to stand strong on Your promises and believe Your every word. I know that “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17).  Make my faith increase every time I hear or read your word. Increase my faith so that I can pray in power. Help me to believe for Your promises to be fulfilled in me. I pray that the genuineness of my faith, which is more precious than gold, that perishes even when it is tested by fire, will be glorifying to You. (1 Peter 1:7)

Lord, I know “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1). I know I have been “saved though faith,” and it is a gift from You. Help me to take the “shield of faith” to “quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one” (Ephesians 6:16). I know that “whatever is not from faith is sin” (Roman 14:23). I confess any doubt I have as sin before you, and I ask You to forgive me. I don’t want to hinder what You want to do in me and through me because of doubt. Increase my faith daily so that I can move mountains in Your name.

In Jesus name I pray

Amen

If you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
Matthew 17:20

Having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Roman 5:1
