Do you try out people, jobs, dreams, and even your faith to see if it suits you? We’ve learned to evaluate all of our choices. That’s responsible, right? But this overdeveloped desire to get the perfect deal, relationship, or path of faith can keep you from experiencing the joy of everyday moments. Real living and real faith happen in the trenches not just on the mountaintop.
I believe that sometimes God is merely asking us to commit to where we’re at, so that he can work on us. And he can show us how he turns ordinary living into extraordinary living. Commit your days to God, and commit to stepping into your life with hope.
I know, I know, It takes a lot of emotional strength to be a woman. The pressures can be great. We press on through pain, through adversity, through change, through times when life isn’t all we had hoped for and when life is more than we’d hoped and we’re struggling to keep up!
Your true strength is discovered when you rely on God’s vision and love. Even if, especially if, you’ve never been able to rely on anyone, give yourself over to the abundance of God’s care. You won’t believe how good it feels to be wrapped in endless support.
Dear Lord, why is it so hard to stand firm in my life as it is? While I grab on to one thing, I’m always looking past it to see what else might come my way. Help me focus on the work you’re doing in me and in my life right now. God, I can come to you at any time and for any help I need. but sometimes, I’m slow to ask for that help, but I’m getting better at it. Embrace me. For I want to feel the protection and strength of my Savior.
In Jesus name I pray
Amen
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalm 23:5-6
From the fullness of this grace we have all received one blessing after another.
