Jesus walks with you. Are you walking with Him? Hopefully, you will choose to walk with Him today and everyday of your life. Jesus loved you so much that He endured unspeakable humiliation and suffering for you. How will you respond to Christ’s sacrifice? Will you take up His cross and follow Him, or will you choose another path? When you place your hopes squarely at the foot of the cross, when you place Jesus squarely at the center of your life, you will be blessed.
If you seek to be a worthy disciple of Jesus, you must acknowledge that He never comes “next.” He is always first. Do you hope to fulfill God’s purpose for your life? Do you seek a life of abundance and peace? Do you intend to be a Christian, not just a name, but in deed? Then follow Christ. Follow Him by picking up His cross today and everyday that you live. When you do, you will quickly discover that Christ’s love has the power to change everything, including you.
Dear Jesus, because I am your disciple, I will trust You, I will obey Your teachings, and I will share Your Good News. You have given me life abundant and life eternal, and I will follow You today and forever. Lord, guide my every step. Lead me “in Your righteousness” and “make Your way straight before my face” (Psalm 5:8). As I draw close and walk in intimate relationship with You each day, I pray You will get me where I need to go. Even as Jesus said, “Not My will, but Yours, be done” (Luke 22:42), so I say to You, not my will but your will be done in my life. “I delight to do Your will, O my God” (Psalm 40:8). You are more important to me than anything. Your will is more important to me than my desires. I want to live as Your servant, doing Your will from my heart (Ephesian 6:6).
In Jesus name I pray
Amen
If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, Him My Father will honor.
John 12:26
Then He said to them all, “If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”
Luke 9:23
