What difficulties are you experiencing during this season of your life? I sympathize with you. John 16:33 says, “I have told you these things, so that In me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world”.
Trouble is a fact of life. And a fact of faith is that you can ease your trouble with prayer. Prayer releases the energy of God. Ask God to do what you cannot do. Don’t cave in. And don’t suffer. There’s hope in James 5:13: “Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise”. I’ve had to learn that as I praise God for the highlights in my life, I must also pray to Him for the trials and troubles. The Bible says He will fight your battles. He will judge and make things right. Don’t lose Heart, just bring your heart before God.
From the opening page of the Bible to the last, you will see God’s faithfulness. I’m always moved by the words of Psalm 89:1: “I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; with my mouth I will make known Your faithfulness to all generations.” When you know God’s faithfulness, you receive courage. You can endure your trails because you’re certain you can count on Him. I know you’ve had experiences with people who’ve failed you, disappointed you, or hurt you. Some people may have even mistreated you. But God will not let you down. And as Scripture says of itself in Revelation 22:6, “These words are faithful and true.” We are indeed a blessed people to be eternally experiencing the faithfulness of God.
Dear Lord, I have carried the weight of these troubles for so long. I want to give them to You. I know that You make things right through Your redemption and grace. And You do what I cannot do, make things new and right. Lord, I do want to sing of Your mercies forever. In times of trouble or doubt, I don’t question Your presence. You bring healing to my wounds caused by the unfaithfulness of others. And You restore my faith in a future and a hope.
In Jesus name I pray
Amen
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
