God’s laws are eternal and unchanging: obedience leads to abundance and joy; disobedience leads to disaster. God has given us a guidebook for righteous living called the Holy Bible. If we trust God’s Word and live by it, we are blessed. But, if we choose to ignore, the results are as predictable as they are tragic.

As we all know, LIFE of course, is a series of decisions and choices. Each day, we make countless decisions that can bring us closer to God…..or Not. When we live according to God’s Word, we are truly blessed and highly favored. We earn for ourselves the abundance and peace that He intends for our lives.

Do you seek God’s peace and His blessing? Then obey Him. When you’re faced with a difficult choice or a powerful temptation, seek God’s counsel and trust the counsel He gives. Invite God into your heart and live according to His commandments. When you do, you will be blessed today, tomorrow and forever.

The cross that Jesus commands you and me to carry is the cross of submissive obedience to the will of God, even when His will includes suffering and hardship and things we don’t want to do or understand.

Let us never suppose that obedience is impossible or that holiness is meant only for a select few. Our Lord leads us in paths of righteousness—not for our name’s sake but for His.

Dear Lord, make me a woman who is obedient to Your Word. Let me live according to Your commandments. Direct my path far from the temptations and distractions of this world.  And, let me discover Your will and follow it, Lord, this day and always.

In Jesus name I pray

Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

1 John 3:24
