Don’t Give Up!!!

Remember, My brothers and sisters in the Lord, that walking with God doesn’t mean there won’t be obstacles. God’s plans for your life won’t happen without a struggle, so don’t give up when times get tough. Just keep on doing what’s right and resist the temptation to quit. Ask God to give you the strength and endurance you need to do what you have to do.

For I know the thought that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. Then you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 29:11-13

Lord, move me into powerful ministry that will impact the lives of others for Your kingdom and Your glory. I humble myself under Your mighty hand. O God, knowing that You will lift me up in due time, I reach out for Your hand today so I can walk with You into the future You have for me.

In Jesus name I pray

 Amen

Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you and His glory will be seen upon you.

Isaiah 60:1-2

The Bible—Our Instruction Manual

What would the condition of your Bible tell me about your spiritual life? Does a worn cover reveal daily use? Have past tears left traces of your pain and joy on the thin pages? Or is your Bible tucked away on a shelf and covered in dust?

There was a time when I dusted off an old Bible-to save my marriage. My marriage was going from bad to worse and I chose to read the only religious book I could find in my house-A Bible. Lots of Bible. Before I’d finished reading, I gave my life and my relationship with my husband to Christ.

I went through what I call the three stages of Bible reading: The Nyquil stage, when it’s like medicine; the shredded wheat stage, when it’s nourishing but dry. And finally the peaches-and-cream stage, when it’s consumed with passion and pleasure. Dust off that Bible. It has the answers you’re looking for, and it delights await you.

So when you can’t fit the pieces of life together, and you cry out, I need an instruction manual! You are entirely correct. You do need an instruction manual. But what you have forgotten is that you have already been given one, The Bible.  God’s Word is written for and to you, but it won’t help you put order and meaning into your life unless you read it. The only wrong way to read the Bible is to not read it. So, don’t make your Bible reading time an ordeal. Make it the treat that it is. It will bring you order, beauty, meaning, and significance to your journey when you follow the Lords instructions.

Lead me, Lord. I will follow.

Dear Lord, “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105). Enable me to truly comprehend its deepest meaning. Give me greater understanding than I have ever had before, and reveal to me the hidden treasures buried there. I pray that I will have a heart that is teachable and open to what You want me to know. Change me as I read it. Help me to be diligent to put Your Word inside my soul faithfully every day. Show me where I’m wasting time that could be better spent reading Your Word. Give me the ability to memorize it. Etch it in my mind and heart so that it becomes a part of me. May Your Word remind me of who You are and how much You love me. May it bring the security of knowing my life is in Your hands and You will supply all my needs. Thank You, Lord that when I look into Your Word I find You. Give me ears to recognize Your voice speaking to me every time I read it (Mark 4:23). When I hear Your voice and follow You, my life is full. When I get off the path You have for me, my life is empty. Guide, perfect, and fill me with Your Word this day and every day.

In Jesus name I pray

Amen

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be life a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does will prosper.

Psalm 1:1-3

He who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

James 1:25

God is your Security

Although we live in a world where everything in our lives can change in an instant, and we can’t be certain what tomorrow will bring, God is unchanging. You may already have lost your false sense of security, and this is good because God wants you to know that your only real security is found in Him.

God “is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all thing we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” (Ephesians 3:20). He has more for you than you can imagine. Stay focused on God, and He will keep you in perfect peace as He moves you into the future He has for you.

Remember that you are God’s child and He loves you. As you walk with Him, you will become more like Him every day. As you look to Him, you will be “transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Lord, I put my future in Your hands and ask that You would give me total peace about it. I don’t want to be trying to secure my future with my own plans. I want to be in the center of Your plans, knowing that You have given me everything I need for what is ahead.

In Jesus name I pray

Amen

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38-39
